1. 27:1 요담이 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 이십오 세라 예루살렘에서 십육 년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 여루사라 사독의 딸이더라
2. 27:1 Jotham was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Jerushah, the daughter of Zadok.
3. 27:2 요담이 그 부친 웃시야의 모든 행위대로 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하였으나 여호와의 전에는 들어가지 아니하였고 백성은 오히려 사악을 행하였더라
4. 27:2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the LORD. And the people did yet corruptly.
5. 27:3 저가 여호와의 전 윗문을 건축하고 또 오벨 성을 많이 증축하고
6. 27:3 He built the high gate of the house of the LORD, and on the wall of Ophel he built much.
7. 27:4 유다 산중에 성읍을 건축하며 수풀 가운데 견고한 영채와 망대를 건축하고
8. 27:4 Moreover he built cities in the mountains of Judah, and in the forests he built castles and towers.
9. 27:5 암몬 자손의 왕으로 더불어 싸워 이기었더니 그 해에 암몬 자손이 은 일백 달란트와 밀 일만 석과 보리 일만 석을 드렸고 제이년과 제삼년에도 암몬 자손이 그와 같이 드렸더라
10. 27:5 He fought also with the king of the Ammonites, and prevailed against them. And the children of Ammon gave him the same year an hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. So much did the children of Ammon pay unto him, both the second year, and the third.
11. 27:6 요담이 그 하나님 여호와 앞에서 정도를 행하였으므로 점점 강하여졌더라
12. 27:6 So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God.
13. 27:7 요담의 남은 사적과 그 모든 전쟁과 행위는 이스라엘과 유다 열왕기에 기록되니라
14. 27:7 Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars, and his ways, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
15. 27:8 요담이 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 이십오 세요 예루살렘에서 치리한지 십육년이라
16. 27:8 He was five and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem.
17. 27:9 저가 그 열조와 함께 자매 다윗 성에 장사되고 그 아들 아하스가 대신하여 왕이 되니라
18. 27:9 And Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
